Do you know something, that’s the least exciting comment in the world if London is where you come from-makes it about as exciting as Wigan on a wet Wednesday.

A mixed bag of a weekend. My darling daughter somehow convinced me to enter the school talent contest with her, singing - The Timewarp. Great, except it is a Catholic School, and some of the lyrics may well have been considered more than slightly morally dubious by the people who already give me dirty looks when I darken the school gates by my mere presence…….

So, finally Saturday I am just about able to stand up and behave slightly less like an extra from Return of the Living Dead….I still needed the shades though, thank heaven for prescription shades is all I can say. Mr A then took me and the gothlet out to Preston in search of goth bits for my birthday.

I am going to steal an idea from SurlyGirl here. Have you ever noticed on your feeds how people have come to your blog through arcane google searches?

Where did I get to? Oh yes, bawling out the hits at Shanghai Shuffle. Made a complete idiot of myself, as did the whole place! But it was very good fun. very nice cocktails, I was obliged to drink ‘Pretty in Pink’ ones all night to co-ordinate with my outfit…..(that’s my excuse). Then we went off in search of somewhere else to go. Wandered up and down Sauchiehall Street, trying to find somewhere still open, and Giana was struggling a bit as she’s on crutches…….

It’s been quite an odd weekend, in many ways!

Mr Spicy Cauldron has set me a meme challenge as I am apparently a miserable old goth-bat…..

This idea originated with Ilker at The Thinking Blog, and you can find the original idea here. Unfortunately this happened the other week when I was lying on the chaise longue going urrrrgh….. (I was a little bit ill and ooky). So I haven’t thanked him as soon as I should, or nominated anyone else as soon as I should!

AmethystDragon and Kitty have now taken up the challenge…or should that be set me the challenge of setting them five questions in the Meme started by Howard, passed on to TrashCanDan, and then to me…….
